another weekend in the hood

so bloggy old' pal, 

i'm bummed to say we didnt get to have movie night this friday

 because we got rained out but we are hoping to try again next friday. 

so on to the good news... 

we had yet another fun, food, and friend filled saturday 

kicking back with our neighbors in their backyard.

me and my daddy set up some tunes 

  i even had to help him tweek the sound so waz jus' right!

 between you and i blog, i think he's going deaf.

a little turn of this knob here, and that knob there.... ahhh jus' right!

there was ...

 pool splashing, 

hunter is on the trampoline and molly is jumping in the pool

and slide sliding!
i don't know what daddy and uncle brian are chatting about ... something about taking over the world. 

 but max and i were ready to slide. 

so we told them to get out of our way
like two trained monkeys ... they did move! 

 my neighbor zach was there too! 

i haven't introduced you to him yet. he is uncle ron and aunty kim's son. 

he used to have long hair and ever since he cut it my daddy calls him "zatch". 

he just made the jv football team at his high school!

 so hopefully mommy and daddy will be taking me to some of his games soon.

i'm so excited for tomorrow! 

mommy and daddy don't have to work since it's some kind of labor holiday... yipee!!

we are heading out to the argilan's for a pool party.

solid ... like my aunties

ok so you know about my friends and neighbors and stuff. but i haaaaaaave to tell you about my aunties. 

one of my aunties is aunty jenni. i get to see my aunty jenni just about once a week. she's one of my favorite aunties but don't tell any of my other aunties. here we are today out to lunch.

this is my aunty kris. 

 she has a blog too. she tells really funny stories about "adventures in awkwardness". 

i have a funny awkward story that would make my aunty kris proud.

so you see my mommy and my aunty jenni are reading a book together. my daddy went to the bookstore that had the book in stock for my mommy. and mommy had the book on hold.

 here is the conversation my daddy had with the book store cashier girl ...

book store cashier: i can help the next customer.

my daddy: hi

book store cashier: hi. do you have a border's book awards card?

my daddy: no i dont.

book store cashier: what can i help you with.

my daddy: you have a book on hold for my wife called "the great divorce." 

silence ensues ... 

i love books!

 and my aunty kristyn came over the other day and sat with me and read me one of my favorite books. 

she's a good reader. 

im a lucky boy to have so many women in my life. ;)

well all ive been doing lately is hangin out.

oh man speaking of eating. in my neighbor hood, we like to eat!

we had another cookout at max's house.

we hung out and i got to meet max's friends from florida.

Take me out to the ball game....

... kinda lame title i know ... but really is there any better statement?

yesterday my daddy and mommy took me to my first ever baseball game.

we went to orioles park at camden yard.

it is a really huge place with tons of people.

daddy said to start off the day at the ball park
we had to have boogs bbq.
then mommy said we had to work on our clapping ...
mommies lap is more comfortable than those green chairs ...
was so hot i could style my hair from my sweat!
i met a dude there. he is two. i forget his name.
but he had some peanut throwing skills!
that's us chuckin' nuts.

after boogs, a couple of homeruns, firing peanuts down the pike,
and meeting some peeps my size, it was time to hele.
and then when i got in my seat ... it was time to moemoe.
while i dream of the next time i get to go to the ball park
ill remind you of some pidgin words of wisdom from my papa ...
"wow! you should see! unreal!"

hey blog ... i had a new friend for a little while there.

well this morning when i got up i went outside to check on him
and this is what i saw ...
yup he went dig out.

ok blog i know i call you friend and all.
but do we have some great friends or what?!?!

and yes i know i've got to officially introduce you to our neighbors
because they are the best!! last time you meet
uncle ron and aunty kim ...
now i have to tell you about the wanless ohana and the moran ohana.
we all like to hang out when we get the chance and just yesterday
we went to red robin together and then rita's for dessert... it was good times!

their daddy is uncle lee (he is the big guy in the football jersey above).

and you know my buddy max, i've shown you a few pics of us together
well max's mommy is aunty adrienne and his daddy is uncle brian.

the day before we all went out for dinner max and
i had some fun with water in my backyard. it was a hot hot day!

my daddy even came home early from work and had tons of fun splashing me!!

mommy! daddy got me soaked, but i really did like it, just looking for some sympathy that's all

me and max so tired... we had to take a break

even keiki dog... see his tongue sticking out, daddy says that's how he sweats

i love my keiki dog.
he is always there to play with me.
even if he is not in the mood

so, at the end of the day, daddy feed me dinner
and i passed out in my highchair. i was so so tired.....

hold on blog, it doesnt end here! me and all my neighbors
topped off this fun packed weekend with a bbq.

aaah... food and friends, can't get any better than this
